The practice provides Personal Medical Services, Maternity and Family Planning Services, Child health Surveillance, Minor Operations, Travel Advice and Vaccinations, Diabetes, Asthma, Urology and Nurse practitioner Services.

Nurse Practitioners

Our Nurse Practitioners are able to deal with many common ailments including the following:

  • Sore throat, earache, cold/flu symptoms, sinusitis, cough and hay fever.
  • Indigestion, diarrhoea/vomiting, constipation, water infection, vaginal discharge, missed pills, emergency contraception/morning after pill and contraceptive advice.
  • New dizziness or back pain, sore eyes, eczema, nappy rash, fungal infections, cold sores, boils, infected wounds and cellulitis, ingrown toenails (you may be referred to another healthcare professional), insect bites and stings and mouth ulcers.
  • We also specialises in the care of patients with diabetes.
    Home Visits
    • Requests for Home Visits for patients who have serious illness that prevents them coming to the surgery should be telephoned to the surgery before 10.30am. Brief details will be taken by the Receptionist and a telephone number will be recorded to enable the Doctor on duty to make a decision about the request.
    Repeat Prescriptions
    • For Ashby site patients you should order your repeat medication in writing either by ticking the items required on your prescription counterfoil and posting the request in the box on the Reception desk, by faxing your order to us on 01724 742411, or you can e-mail your request using nlccg.prescriptionhayes@nhs.net. Please allow 48 hours from receipt of request for us to prepare your repeat prescription.
    • For West Street patients call 01724 292 022. Please allow 48 hours from receipt of request for us to prepare your repeat prescription.
